Mollie Herman

Dr Mollie Herman is the Director of the Towson University Counseling Center and a licensed psychologist with a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park. She brings over 30 years of leadership experience to her role, having previously served as the Center’s longstanding Training Director, where she shaped the professional development of countless emerging psychologists.

A specialist in the training and supervision of psychologists, Dr. Herman is deeply committed to inclusive, student-centered care. Her approach emphasizes the importance of holistic wellbeing and the power of prevention, education, and early intervention in supporting student mental health. She has led campus-wide efforts to build a strong safety net by training faculty, staff, and student leaders in how to recognize and assist students in distress.

Throughout her career, Dr. Herman has remained passionate about cultivating supportive environments where all students feel seen, heard, and empowered to thrive. She continues to integrate clinical insight with strategic leadership to promote a culture of care across the Towson University campus.
